OZANTEKS R&D CENTER

OZANTEKS listed in “towels, bathrobes, home textiles and underwear sector”, is one of the biggest textile companies in Denizli. Research & Development (R&D) activities in OZANTEKS have been strengthened by the establishment of R&D and Continuous Improvement Unit under the consultancy of Prof. Dr. Aşkıner Güngör back in 2014. Efficiency and simplification efforts were accelerated by the establishment of the unit. Kaizen approach which is one of the cornerstones of lean culture has been adopted. For this purpose, OZANTEKS Kaizen Sharing Days have been organized regularly since then. All teams involved in Kaizen projects present their works to other employees in an environment where senior management also participates. Thus, while contributing to the development of new, creative and effective solutions, the necessary climate to expand research and innovation activities is being improved throughout the company. As a consequence, OZANTEKS R&D and Continuous Improvement Unit was officially approved as the 408th R&D Center by the Ministry of Industry and Technology on the 16th March of 2017 with 23 full-time R&D personnel. OZANTEKS R&D Center aims to carry out research and development and innovation related activities aligned with state-supported projects leading to design and to develop innovative products/processes on scientific grounds.

The projects and studies we have carried out to realize our R&D strategies strengthen our competitiveness by increasing our process efficiency and our innovative and competitive product development potential. The existence of our R&D Center reinforces our confidence in this issue. We recognize the value of disciplined R&D processes and we are committed to internalizing these processes at a significant level. In addition to our production experience which we have accumulated over more than fifty years, our increasing belief in R&D and innovation, our dedication to create and continue to develop the physical and operational R&D infrastructure, is our greatest competitive strength.

We would like to give you some information about the logo of the OZANTEKS R&D Center.
The logo was designed during the establishment of the OZANTEKS R&D Center. In the logo, the letter A is presented in gray, the letter R is red, the letter G is blue and the letter E is green.

Gray A symbolizes the ambiguity and fuzziness that exist at the beginning of the research and development processes. Indeed, at the beginning of a research process, it is important to diagnose the problem correctly, to reveal its requirements, to define its limits and value, and many of these issues contain a significant amount of fuzziness.

Red R represents the intensive effort required in research and development activities. Just as an athlete struggling to win the race, such as fatigue, sweating, and perhaps being exposed to cramps, but not to give up struggle, research requires such a determination and effort.

OZANTEKS Blue G represents the belief and the self-confidence required in research and development activities. With more than fifty years of production experience, as OZANTEKS, we have become a confident and successful team.

Environmental Green E reflects the value of the concept of environmental sustainability, which is an important principle in our research and development activities. As OZANTEKS, we believe in the value of the sustainability of the environment and we are strengthening our belief that the world we live in must be conveyed to future generations. This principle is an important dimension of all of our R&D studies which was also reflected on our logo.
